Add another one to the board for the 2026 Texas Tech Soccer recruiting class as Top Drawer Soccer's 54th ranked player in the country and a top 10 player in Texas Mia Wiele has verbally committed to the Red Raiders.
Wiele is a center back / defensive mid out of Austin, Texas who plays for ECNL's Sting Soccer Club. The now junior in high school already has a lengthy list of accomplishments that include:
U15 National Team Camp
2x ECNL Conference Cup Selection
2x ECNL 1st Team All-Texas
Top Drawer Soccer 57th ranked overall player in nation, 13th ranked defender in nation and 8th overall player in Texas.
1st Team All-State HS 6A Midfielder
In addition to her leadership, talent evaluators laud Wiele's versatility as a player, talent on the ball and passing abilities. One evaluator for Prep Soccer that saw her play this past spring had this to say about her play:
"She's very effective at winning the ball on the floor, and despite not being very tall, also held her own in the air. Wiele was huge when Sting had possession, using her excellent passing and vision to contribute to the team's buildup, finding attackers with long passes. Her ability to send the ball into the box anywhere was also of great importance as two of the three goals her team scored came from long free kicks taken by Wiele." - Prep Soccer
Wiele became the eighth player to commit to Texas Tech in the 2026 class joining Carolina Krosnyak, Madi Patterson, Rylie Morse, Logan Pang, Reese Liner, Cooper Dick and Mattie Neves.
