✨Texas Tech Lady Raiders Hosting Four Recruits This Weekend✨

After announcing the signings of Jalynn Bristow (Iowa State) and Ivana Krajina (Odessa College) the Lady Raiders will host four more recruits in Lubbock this weekend as they continue to fill in their roster. This includes: Adlee Blacklock (Oregon State), Denae Fritz (Baylor), Maya Peat (Arkansas-Pine Bluff) and Brooklyn Stewart (Pine Creek HS / Colorado Springs, CO).

Adlee Blacklock (Lubbock, Texas) / Oregon State

Adlee Blacklock is a Lubbock native who starred for Trinity Christian and Lubbock Cooper before spending the last two years with Oregon State that made it to the Elite 8 in the NCAA Tournament this past season. The 6-0 guard is a career 39.5% three-point shooter in her time with the Beavers, but is more than capable of creating a shot off the dribble as well.

THAT ENERGY! While playing time was at more of a premium her sophomore year on a guard heavy Beaver team, her most impressive stretch came to close her freshman season in 2023 when she scored in double figures in five of six games to end that season, including dropping 22 points against No. 15 Arizona.

Denae Fritz (Maryville, TN) / Baylor (via ISU) / 5-11 CG

Longtime Seeing Scarlet followers will know this name as we spent a lot of time wishing to the stars about her last season when she was in the portal out of Iowa State after an All-Big 12 Freshman season with the Cyclones. Starting 31 games for the eventual '22-'23 Big 12 Tournament Champions, Fritz averaged 8.8 pts, 4.6 rebounds,1.2 assists, 1.0 blocks and 0.7 steals per game on 33.9% shooting from three and 42.6% from the field.

Known for her toughness, Fritz is a combo guard with good size at 5-11 and length that brings a passion and fire to the game Lady Raiders fans will LOVE. Also has experience playing some point guard in high school where she was named Ms. Tennessee Basketball 2021 and runner-up for the same award in 2020. The rising-junior was unable to find steady minutes at Baylor behind All-American Sarah Andrews, who is returning for a 5th year next season, but the potential for Fritz is immense as everyone saw when given the minutes at Iowa State. We cannot wait to gush more about her if she signs (*manifesting*.) 🧘‍♀️

Maya Peat (Chandler, AZ) / Arkansas-Pine Bluff / 6-6 C

Maya Peat, a 6-6 center, set the all-time record for rebounds in a career at Arkansas-Pine Bluff, finishing with 688 career boards. The senior (one year of eligibility remaining) averaged 10.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game this past season, a season that included games against six different power five schools including the team's upset of Arkansas in December.

Football fans will find it interesting to note she comes from a family of athletes as her dad Todd played six NFL seasons and her brother Andrus just completed sixth NFL season with New Orleans Saints as a left guard.

Brooklyn Stewart (Colorado Springs, CO) / Pine Creek HS / 6-3 F

Brooklyn Stewart is currently ranked the 4th best player in the state of Colorado for the Class of 2025 and a player that is quickly rising in the national ranks due to her size and versatility. She averaged 20.8 points, 12.2 rebounds, 2.7 steals, 2.3 assists and 1.4 rebounds per game during her junior season this past year at Pine Creek high school in Colorado Springs.
