✨Bling Bling!✨ Lubbock Native Adlee Blacklock Signs With Texas Tech As A Transfer From Oregon State

She's coming home! Former Trinity Christian and Lubbock Cooper star Adlee Blacklock is transferring to Texas Tech from Oregon State. The 6-0 rising junior guard shot 39.5% from three in her two seasons with the Beavers and adds another versatile shooting option with the size to go get hers when needed as well.

She brings an energy that truly cannot be matched, and it even comes with a name - "Madlee" an on-court alter-ego that was born back when she was forced to sit out her junior year of high school with an injury. Blacklock herself admits prior to that season she was known more as an calm, even-keeled type player on the court (not that it stopped her from winning two state titles at Trinity.) However, being forced to sit on the sidelines and not play the game she loved gave her a new edge and 'Madlee' was born.

“When you’re away from the game, it makes you appreciate it even more,” Blacklock said in an article by the Portland Tribune. “I love basketball so much. Being able to do this as my job is my favorite thing in the whole world.”

Don't think we didn't pick up on her use of the word "job" in that quote either....she understands the dedication it takes to be great and moves that way. This work ethic allowed her to be ready when given the opportunity to start the final five games of her freshman season, a stretch that really showed her potential as a scorer. She went on to hit double digits in five of the final six games that year, including a career high 22 versus No. 15 Arizona and finished the year leading the Pac-12 in 3P% at 46.5%. While she had more of a spark plug role on a stacked Elite 8 Beavers team this past season, she made an impact every time she stepped on the court and has proven when out there she knows how to score.

Her per 40 averages over the past two seasons:

22'-'23: 16.7 ppg, 4.3 reb, 1.8 ast

23'-'24: 15.3 ppg, 3.7 reb, 0.7 ast

“Adlee is just a dawg, man,” said her OSU teammate Talia Vol Oelhoffen. “You see the passion she plays with, Adlee hitting a three is the most exciting thing that could possibly happen.”

A dawg? Passion? THE MOST EXCITING THING THAT COULD POSSIBLY HAPPEN?! Fire us up, the USA is going to need a new roof and probably a few spare nets with you back in town Adlee. Welcome home.

If you're not dreaming big, you're not dreaming at all." - Adlee Blacklock
